In a crisis right now? Call or text 988, or call 911 if someone is in immediate danger. HAVII is not an emergency service.

If you're 13 to 24

Nobody reads your journal. Not staff, not your mentor, not a computer.

That's the part people don't believe, so here is exactly how it works — including the parts where we can't promise privacy, because pretending otherwise would be worse.

Can my mentor read my journal?

No. Not a summary, not a preview, not "just the mood." Mentors see your first name, the goals you chose to share, and the messages you send them. That is the whole list, and it is shown to you in the app on your profile.

Can my parent or guardian read it?

No. If you are under 18 a guardian approves you joining and being matched with a mentor — that is all they get. They see that your account is active and that you have a mentor. They do not see your writing, your check-ins, or your messages.

Does an AI read what I write?

No. Nothing you write is scanned, analysed, or used to train anything, and nothing you write triggers an automatic alert to anyone. That also means the app cannot notice if you are in trouble — which is why the support numbers are one tap away on every screen.

So what is not private?

Your messages with your mentor. They are monitored for safety: never disappearing, and read by a trained reviewer if you or your mentor reports something. We put that notice above every conversation. If you want something to stay between you and the page, write it in the journal instead.

What if my mentor is weird with me?

Report or block them from inside the conversation, in two taps. Blocking ends their access immediately — not at the end of the day, immediately. A trained reviewer at Together For You reads what you reported, and you keep control of whether the match continues.

Do I have to use it every day?

No. There are no streaks, no badges, and nothing that guilts you for being away for a month. Notifications are limited to four kinds and you can turn off three of them. The app is not trying to keep you here.

What happens if I delete my account?

Your journal, check-ins, and goals go with it. The only things kept are safety records tied to a report or an ended match, for as long as the program is required to keep them — and the app names exactly what those are before you confirm.
